Calm Corner was born from my dedication as a lawyer, specializing in family and divorce laws. Working with women in conflicted homes and marriages, I heard heart-wrenching stories that felt all too familiar – echoing the struggles witnessed in the lives of mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and women around me.
As I delved deeper into their emotional turmoil, I realized that many women in India lacked a safe space to address their problems and stresses effectively. This realization fueled my determination to create a solution that could truly make a positive impact.
In 2022, Calm Corner came to life in Bengaluru, India, to support married Indian women in navigating the unique challenges of joint families.
At Calm Corner, I understand women's pivotal role in maintaining family well-being and shaping future generations. Harmonious family dynamics are vital for individual growth and societal progress. However, despite significant advancements in various areas, family structures still lack a more straightforward path for navigation.
In 2023, Calm Corner achieved a momentous milestone when it was incubated with NSRCEL under the Women Startup Program at the renowned Indian Institute of Management in Bengaluru. This recognition further solidified my commitment to empowering married Indian women and providing them a nurturing environment to vent, discuss, and find support.
My platform fosters a sense of sisterhood, resilience, and personal growth. Within the comforting embrace of Calm Corner, women can freely express their emotions, learn self-regulation techniques, and witness the strength of unity through observational learning.
